To promote the upcoming release of the PS Vita game Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni in Japan on December 10, a life-size doll of its main heroine Rinka Kagurazaka, named “Rinka: Link A Doll,” is produced by acclaimed special make-up company Jiyuro in cooperation with famous love doll maker Orient Industry. By connecting with the Wi-Fi incorporated in the body, you can download three types of original wallpapers for smartphones and also can hear her voices by Aya Suzaki (Tamako Kitashirakawa in Tamako Market).
“Above all, the love dolls made by Orient Industries are world-class Japanese art,” says Yoko Taguchi, a representative of the Vanilla Gallery in Tokyo’s Ginza district, which has held exhibitions featuring the creations on four occasions.
Vanilla Gallery is in the Tosei Bldg, B2F 8-10-7, Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, 104-0061. The exhibition is open every day until August 23. Closing times vary (12-7pm Mon-Thurs, 12-8pm Fri, 12-5pm Sat/Sun). In other words, don’t try and drop in on your way back from the pub.
